NTCS Students

North Toronto Christian School (NTCS) was founded in 1981 to offer an enriched educational program to all parents who wanted a more traditional, Bible-based education for their children. Since its inception, the school has expanded to two locations in North York with a total of 300 students from junior kindergarten through grade 6. NTCS has become one of Canada's largest independent private elementary schools.

Location

North Toronto Christian School is located on Page Avenue in the Bayview Village area of North York near the intersection of Bayview and Finch avenues. North York is part of the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, the largest city in Canada.

Religion

NTCS is an evangelical Christian elementary school, not affiliated with any specific church or denomination. The Bible is used as an integral part of the school curriculum and all matters of counselling, discipline and school life are governed by a commitment to Biblical principles and values. Health

Parents should expect that all students will participate fully in the entire school program. If health problems restrict such participation in any way, exceptions will be made with a doctor's note. All students must be immunized according to the Ontario Ministry of Health regulations. An optional student accident insurance program is also available.

Vacations

School holidays generally coincide with the public schools of the area. There is a two-week holiday period at Christmas and two weeks at March Break. Long weekend breaks occur in November and February and the school is closed for the normal statutory holidays. See School Calendar for more details.

School year/hours

The school year extends from September through June. NTCS and TYS offer a day camp program during the months of July and August. The school day begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.
